I have squash and bacon...

Was planning a risotto (have chestnuts too) but no rice. No pasta either, except lasagne. Can't get out to the shops today. Do you think a lasagne would work? I could roast the squash and mix it up with the bacon for a filling. Is it a bit weird?

It might be nice, it sounds nice to me. :) Squash and bacon works and pasta works with nearly everything. :)

Sounds good. Chilli works well with butternut squash too.

Recipe Here There are loads of recipes for butternut squash lasagne online.

I often make pasta with garlic, squash and bacon bits. It will work I'm sure!
Or you can make a soup with crunchy bacon bits on top.

Its on its way. I'm adding some caramelised onions, as suggested in one of the recipes flyingmonkeys linked too. Thanks.

Well actually I would roast it in chunks (with the skin on) in a pan with lots of olive oil and garlic. Add the bacon about 10 mins before serving. Squash is lovely like that.

And some new potatoes if you have them. They roast well.
