How long can I keep homemade cupcakes?

I've never made them before but have just made 75 for my Mum's 80th birthday party. I've made them for tea on Sunday (today is Thurs) and was hoping not to have to freeze them. (I could do if I have to though)

When they are cool should I:

a) Not ice them (twill be buttercream type icing), store in airtight boxes in a cool area and ice tomorrow (bit pushed for time at the weekend)

b) Ice them and store in airtight boxes in cool area till Sunday

c) Any other suggestions?

Ideally I would like to finish them tomorrow (Fri) and for them to be nice on Sunday afternoon.

I need advice a.s.a.p. please. Thank you.

They should be fine for Sunday if you keep them as you are suggesting. I always do big batches and freeze some.

Thanks for such a quick response. Do you mean I should do a) or b).

b) would be my preference.

If anyone is interested the cupcakes went down well and still tasted fresh on Monday (the day after the party).

Thanks again.
