help - started cooking fairy cakes with 3 year old and NO EGGS !!! Is it true I can use banana instead?

Just googled as I've never heard of this but it's mentioned on the first site I clicked on- used in vegan recipe. here

well i did them and they came out like rocks, daughter loves them,just hope her teeth survive them

Apparently you can use mayonnaise instead of butter and eggs, never tried it though.
