Can't remember which fish I bought - can you name some flat ones to jog my memory?

I "decanted" them into clear freezer bags and now can't remember what fish it is. Pretty sure it's not lemon sole - too big. They have grey scales.

sounds like the kind of thing I'd do if I ever dared to buy and cook any fish other than salmon. Why does fish scare me so much?

........right, it's flat, no spots, browny grey skin/scales, very white on the underside, about the length of a standard ruler and quite wide.

Could be plaice - they come in 2 parts, one spotty, one white (not while alive obv but after filleting!)
