HELP!! No tarragon

for the tarragon chicken I'm doing tonight. I thought I had a jar of it, but I haven't and the local shops haven't got any and waaaaaaaaaagh!

Can I use basil instead?

It would be totally different, but yes.
Have you got sage? I'd prefer that I think.

No garden centres that I could have got to, but good idea.

Am intriguede by sage idea, but not sure dh or dd would go for it. I was grabbing at the idea of basil because they're both a bit aniseedy.
