Well we have the Nigella what have you made thread, so thought I would start one for this book.

Have made:

Banana & Choc loaf
Scones
Carrot Cake
Chicken pie and
Beef pie

All were very simple and lovely. The carrot cake topping was way too runny though but I did you a Tesco brand cheese, I think philly would be much better.

So far and loving these simple but tasty meals.

I don't have the book, yet. Sad

But my friend does, and she forced a piece of clotted cream cake on me last week, which I accepted to be polite (am a keener baker than eater of cake), but it was absolutely delicious!

I made the scones from the Recipe on the pink whisk website

Got the book but I am saving it for my mum so not read it yet. Going to get another copy for myself though, it looks great.

I loved the series, it made other reality programmes look so trashy in comparison

Here is the book

It's really good, loads of recipes from the show.

Just bought this book, so I will mark this thread - DD and I love baking and DH and DS love eating the baked goodsSmile

I made the Chocolate shotbread which is delicious but it is so crumbly you can't pick it up without it falling apart.

I don't have the book either but I love Ruth's website. I went to Lakeland and bought so much lovely baking stuff, just waiting for the weekend to get started. :)

I'm interested what the book is like. Plenty of receipes on the BBC website.

Picked up so many tips from the silver fox and MB.

Bought the Silverline multipan baking tin with extra dividers so no excuses now.

I just remember Miranda's fab vanilla biscuits. I really want to make these. I also bought the fine piping tips.

It was a great programme, so wonderful to see much talent.
