Chicken nuggets - fry first? Urgent!

I usually fry anything in breadcrumbs to seal and brown before I bake in the oven but I wanted to avoid frying these if I can to make them a bit healthier. Can I really just stick in the oven? Do they look brown enough and how long will they take?

They're lying waiting to go in soon so quick replies would be greatly appreciated Grin

I either fry mine and serve straight away. Or put them on a stone baking tray and straight in the oven, no frying first. Maybe spritz the stone with some oil. They seem to cook and brown well in the oven but I love the stone to cook things like this (Pampered Chef one!)

Fine in oven without frying.

You definitely do not need to fry.

Depending on size, probably 20 mins or less? I tend to turn them over and just guess when they look ready. In too long and they will go dry. Def nicer after frying but agree with wanting them a bit healthier.

Always shallow fry mine now in sunflower oil - if oil is hot enough they do not absorb loads and drain on papertowel. Have tried putting straight in the oven and they do brown but don't taste as nice.

Bit more of a brown than a golden but they were lovely. Thanks all.
