Colleagues for dinner on Saturday

Well, I'm not going to eat them Grin I'm going to serve them dinner instead.

So I would normally do big lasagne etc but we had that when we all went to another one of the group 4 weeks ago. So I was thinking Indian.

I'm planning:
Fruity chicken curry
Dhal
Mushroom korma
Some sort of beef curry??
Rice (plain or lemon - not sure)
Naan breads
Copious beer and wine

Does that sound ok? There will be 8 of us altogether including me and dh. Any ideas for the 'some sort of beef curry'?

Thank you :)

What time do you want me???? Grin Grin

Sounds bloody gorgeous and I'd be made up if I went to someone's house and was offered all that yummy grub!

Bunny I was thinking 7.45 for 8? Wink Unless you're currently residing in Austria, then you might need to book a flight first Grin

Sounds absolutely lovely. My suggestion is that although I am a dedicated wine drinker, I don't drink wine with curry - it just seems to fight with the spices. I'd serve a nice gin cocktail before dinner (maybe some little homemade pakoras or similar as nibbles?) then go with lagers/biers/pilsner type drinks, obviously with non alcoholic options too, plus water.

For dessert, how about a mango fool, or try a srikand dessert - this is yoghurt which is strained then has rosewater added to it, and strands of saffron - it's lovely. Would go with the Indian theme? Or a homemade coconut icecream?

Again, I think a more conventional Western dessert would probably not work with this menu.

Good luck, it sounds like you will have a wonderful time.
