Have searched the archives and seen a few threads on freezing cooked rice - consensus seems to be fine as long as a) cooled and frozen quickly and b) re-heated thoroughly.
My question is - any idea how to re-heat safely without a microwave? I have frozen risotto no problem and just re-heat in a pan but not sure about plain basmati rice.
Suppose I could sort of stir-fry it hot with a bit of butter or something?
I have loads of meals frozen for DD but they need pasta/rice/mash to go with them and I usually end up defaulting to pasta as it's easiest.
Any advice would be great - thanks.
