That's it really - don't know of any allergies. What do you do when kids come for tea? I don't eat fish but other than that can cook anything but lack ideas.

i usually do spag bol with garlic bread or dough balls, with veggie sticks. or pizza. most kids like those things.

pizza - get or make bases and then give them cheese, tomatoes, pepper etc so they make their own topping. It keeps them busy (less wrecking of bedrooms), there's more chance that they'll eat it and you look like uber mum.

You say to their mum/dad/cm/whoever - what do they like?

Then they won't eat it anyway because it's not like it when they have it at home, and you give them beans on toast instead.

The favourite that all kids seem to eat without fuss when they come to our house for tea is fish fingers (don't know if you can cook these if you don't eat fish??) Plain pasta with some grated cheese to put on the top if they want it and some sort of veggie.
Then some grapes and a yogurt for desert.

If you can't cook fish fingers then I'd do same thing but give them each a roasted chicken thigh instead.

I would avoid anything with sauces as loads of kids are really fussy. Even if they eat it at home they often won't eat it anywhere else. So just keep it plain and simple.

Very true about sauces.

Even ketchup is a minefield. Do they like it? One blob or squirted all over? All over everything? Where does the blob go? Can they be trusted to administer their own condiment or will it end up on the table/baby/ceiling?

Pizza (plain with 'add your own toppings')?

Chips and something Grin
