Has anyone made her white chocolate buns?
i saw her do them on the telly and they looked lovely.
I followed the recipe to the letter, and filled 12 bun cases as directed. I ended up with 12 joined together splodges.

Annoying as I was going to take them in for a Macmillan coffee morning.

I had a problem with these too. 'Twas a long time back and I can't really remember what went wrong. I think the mixture was very liquid and the cakes came out dense, cloying and claggy.
Unusual as she is normally pretty reliable.

Hmm. I managed to find the recipe on her website, and she says 16-20 minutes. (Perhaps the book was a first edition)
I also found a couple of comments with teh same sort of problem. Like cookies/like macaroons, and one that was like mine: spread out all over the tray with dips in each case. She said they looked like yorkshires!

I did a lovely Bill Grainger Banana bread instead. Went down a treat.
