I have just had butter, cheese and jam and butter, cheese and lemon curd. I think I am somewhat odd. I am now considering butter, cheese and peanut butter but somehow know it's a bit wrong.

SirBoobAlot · 23/09/2010 22:11

Goats cheese and salsa. Mmmm...

yousaidit · 23/09/2010 22:12

cheese and branston pickle!

Sexonlegs · 23/09/2010 22:12

Boursin - the garlic one or the pepper one.

nameymcnamechange · 23/09/2010 22:12

Ewwwww.

Philadelphia.

Or that new Seriously Strong cheese spread.

Or cold butter (not slightly melty butter) and marmite.

Or butter and thin slices of cheddar or red leicester or double gloucester.

jooseyfruit · 23/09/2010 22:12

god i love a slice of cheese with peanut butter, no cracker involved.

smooth peanut butter in a cream cracker sandwich is the way foward. if you squeeze the crackers together, little 'worms'of peanut butter wiggle out of the cracker holes. cheese would spoil the fun.

elportodelgato · 23/09/2010 22:18

this is utterly WRONG but truly there is nothing finer than spreading mayonnaise on them and eating them in front of Judge Judy of an evening

cyteen · 23/09/2010 22:19

Butter and peanut butter. MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm. I remember wondering as a teen whether it was possible for a person to live on this.

tb · 24/09/2010 04:45

Lemon curd and cheshire cheese.

mermaidgirl · 24/09/2010 13:55

Onion marmalade with chilli flavoured cheese!

thegrowlygus · 24/09/2010 13:58

No no no no no - you can't put JAM on crackers. That is just odd. That is what DH's family have with them and it is just plain wrong.

They are savoury things. They need savoury things on them!

(Dh and I often have heated discussion about this issue - can you tell? Laugh a minute our house, I tell you) Smile

Butter and cheese or butter and lemon curd! Yummy!!!

ShatnersBassoon · 24/09/2010 14:01

I've just had some for lunch, with Wensleydale and beetroot. It has to be a savoury topping for me.

cyteen · 24/09/2010 14:22

Thick slabs of cheddar with mango chutney and slices of cucumber are also good.

Tortington · 24/09/2010 14:22

taffetacat · 24/09/2010 16:24

KurriKurri · 24/09/2010 16:45

Cheese and chutney, with cherry toms on the side.

Hummous

Pate

sharbie · 24/09/2010 16:46

mayo sounds yum - my fave is salad cream

AmazingBouncingFerret · 24/09/2010 16:49

Either cheddar or some nice spready cheese.
I always look forward to my Boxing Day carpet picnic of Crackers, cheese board and homemade pickled onions. Mmmmm.

I used to have Jacobs cracker with butter then a sprinkle of sugar on top when I was little and would refuse to eat normal food

Rockbird · 24/09/2010 16:53

butter and cheddar. Anything else is unnatural. Want some now...

PaulineCampbellJones · 24/09/2010 16:55

Butter and cheese.

hobbgoblin · 24/09/2010 16:55

Apricot and Wensleydale cheese, or just butter.

coatgate · 24/09/2010 16:56

Cheese. Stop it. Not got any in and now I WANT SOME.

jooseyfruit · 24/09/2010 17:33

i remember eating cream crackers and peanut butter in front of the Rockford Files. I'm that old.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 24/09/2010 17:34

Nothing, they are grim. There are many finer biscuits.
