What to serve with Toad in the Hole?

Just toad in the hole, some lovely gravy, and perhaps some peas.

ok. Just peas then. I was going to make a lovely homemade ratatouille with homegrown veg but no-one likes it.

Ratatlouille is lovely, but not with toad in the hole.

Make the ratatouille, then leave overnight for all the flavours to meld together, then serve tomorrow with bread or jacket potatoes.

French beans, gravy, apple sauce.And mash as well.
Yum.

I have a wonderful onion gravy recipe from Sarah Raven's new book - it uses a tin of beef consomme and wine and tastes like the best gastropub onion gravy ever.

We had it last week with broccoli and carrots.
