Ice cream with milk not cream?

I need to use up some egg yolks (4) but have no cream and am not going out in the evil rain to get some! Can I make ice cream with milk instead of cream or will it be yuck?

It will technically be gellato rather than ice cream I think, but should be fine as long as it?s not skimmed milk.

almost all Italian ice cream is made with milk not cream, so yes, no problem at all.

Oh really? I'll give it a go then. Thanks. In the gelato recipe book I have all the recipes have cream in them just not as much as is in ice cream.
