Prawns with a use by date of yesterday

Can I give them to my cat? She is old so don't want to poison her but I know she would love them.

I was going to say sniff them and if they smell ok then cook them thoroughly and give them a go. But I'm not so sure about giving them to an elderly cat

I think I will bin them, not worth it if she is ill.

Oh I thought thats what out of date fish was for

I don't mean in order to mae them ill, btw! Just that its got to be a step up from the cat food they normally get eh.

I still haven't binned them as I have been busy making coconut sorbet. Will see what DH says when he gets in as he's the one who will suffer if she dies.
