Freezing pineapple

Do i need to do anything to it first or can i put it straight in the freezer?

I have never done it and i don't think it would freeze successfully fresh, maybe cut it up and blanch first and freeze the pieces fast separately. Probably taste like tinned when defrosted.

Chop up first.

Good to eat frozen if on a diet as its like sucking a sweet. yum
