Just thinking of ideas for lunchboxes.

DS will eat quiche, cold pizza and fish goujons strangely.

Do your DC like any of the following cold?

Frittata
Savoury panckaes
Veggie burgers
Beef burgers
Meatballs
Omelette
Chicken goujons
Potato wedges
Eggy bread
Fish cakes
Potato cakes
Hash browns
Potato waffles
Crumpets (toasted then left to cool or untoasted?)

dunno about the kids, but I love cold chilli, cold pizza and cold roast potatoes!!

Greensleeves · 21/09/2010 13:47

I gave my dc a big slice of quiche each along with the usual fruit/veg sticks/yoghurt/flapjack once

got a snooty note home saying that an adequate lunch must contain a "sandwich or roll equivalent"

fucking peasants

My dd basically likes everything cold. And cold baths. She's a weirdo.

Lol at the peasants at Greeny's school

Smash09 · 21/09/2010 15:48

Not so much the dds, but me:

Curry, polenta squares, pasta, roast chicken (obvious but still..), chilli con carne, cheese toasties, boiled eggs.

Yes to crumpets, pancakes, omelettes and veggie burgers Grin

Wouldn't advocate for school but DS likes baked beans cold [vom]

taffetacat · 21/09/2010 17:20

Ahh cold baked beans - boarding school memories. They are much better cold.

Sausages
Anything with egg in

DH's fave is cold fish pie

debka · 21/09/2010 19:57

My DD will eat anything cold, but she is 18mo.

I make lentil croquettes with lentils breadcrumbs, egg, cheese and a little curry powder. They are lovely cold.
