Meatloaf

I'm making Delia's American meatloaf for dinner and I'm wondering what to serve with it. She suggests jacket potatoes, but I only like them if they're smothered in beans and cheese. I'm thinking mashed potatoes.

Would you serve meatloaf without a gravy?

God meatloaf just seems so dry, it's gotta have gravy or baked beans I would think.

Or a nice salad and ketchup.

It's like a giant wedge of hamburger on your plate, surely jackets would just be one step too far on the heavy scale?

I know, mustard mash with loads of peas and lovely onion gravy would be nice.

sigh I think I'm going to have to do a gravy. You're right - I would never have a big lump of hamburger without anything else. Can't be bothered though - I've already done a batch of sugar and butter free flapjacks, meatloaf, and a load of lentil soup today (stocking up the freezer before new job starts).

The mustard mash sounds lovely though and peas are the easiest veg in the world so that's fine
