can I use white wine vinegar instead of cider vinegar?

Going to do a carrot salad type thing with falafels. I have found a recpe whih calls for cider vinegar to make the salad dressing. Do you think I can substitute white wine vinegar instead? (Or red, I have that too). It seems a waste to buy a bottle just for 4 tablespoons.

TIA

I would say it would be fine, tbh.

The carrot salad was lovely! I toasted cumin and fennel seeds, mixed grated carrot with lime juice, honey and the seeds and some toasted almonds on top. Made a really nice change.

I always use lemon or lime juice in salad dressings ( DH and I are sensitive to vinegar of any type) IMO the citrus are much nicer.
