I have an empty freezer, a hectic life, and I'm fresh out of ideas....

I need new meal ideas, please.

I'm starting uni next week, so life is just about to kick off and become really rather busy. Therefore I am after ideas of meals to prepare ion advance, slow cooker meals, things I can have in to prepare when I'm tired and just need food etc

Only me and DS who doesn't eat a great deal anyway. I've just completely run out of ideas.

So come tell me what is in your freezer.

(and if we could steer clear of the usual spag bol, pasta sauce, cottage pie things... that'd be great! Wink)

I buy fish and freeze it. Defrost it in the morning, throw it in the oven at night. whilst it is cooking, I cook potatoes or rice. Flat fish is even easier, can pan fry it for a few minutes and voila!

Frozen veg is easy.

Has your oven got a timer? Can put baking potatoes in so they are ready when you get home.

Mum bought a recipe book from M & S yesterday which is all about cooking double portions so one portion can be frozen. It was only £5.

No timer on oven.

Have a slow cooker :S but DS hates stews.

Fish is always good, can knock up a quick fish pie too.
