Salt and pepper chicken (served with rice, noodles or salad)
Combine 1 egg yolk, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 table spoon of rice vinegar, pinch of salt, pepper, chilli powder and 5 spice seasoning. Marinate chicken for 30 mins to 2 hours in fridge.
You can then fry the chicken as it is or coat in corn flour to make a thin tempura like batter and heat in hot oil (350 degrees F) in a wok, pan or deep fat fryer.
You can serve it with some more salt, pepper, 5 spice and chilli powder mix to dip in on the side.
I either serve with rice or noodles with peppers, onions, peas, sweetcorn and carrots mixed in or with wraps and salad or salad on it's own. It's nice with a bit of hoi sin or plum sauce if you have it, otherwise i just put mayo in the wraps.
