how to cook sirloin steak

i have two pieces of sirlion steak and have no idea how to cook it! also does anyone have any suggestions as to what to serve it with? tia

Depends how you like it.

If you want it still pink in the middle then get the pan really hot, season the steak and rub olive oil all over, then put into pan and fry, without moving for 1 1/2 to 2 mins each side - increase time slightly for medium or well done.

When done, let it rest on warm plate covered with foil for a few minutes.

I usually serve with new potatoes, green beans etc or with roasted veg and couscous.

Also, do you like stilton? I sometimes add a lump of stilton to some butter and mix it together then put into fridge to set, then when the steak is done get a lump of the stilton butter and let it melt on the top - Mmmm

Season and squeeze lemon juice over. Dot with flakes of butter. Either grill or fry in really hot pan.
