ds just started school. he was going to have school meals but i am quite shocked by some of the choices on the menu which i was given friday, they don't seem to be that healthy.
so i am thinking of sending him with a packed lunch instead. just wondering if anyone can recommend any? i'm not bothered what it looks like as long as it lasts the year.
also which bottle to take, ds will be just taking water.
he will be taking things like cheese and crackers, sarnie, rasins, fruit, dip possibly and veg sticks if this makes a difference. thanx

Just get one he likes. Metal sig type bottles do last longer than plastic ones though.

Metal make the drink taste strange no good in my opinion.

The meals at my DS school are healthy its the puds I think that arent!!! However I insist that he stays at least once if not twice a week to:

  1. develops social interaction/skills
  2. Tries new foods - he loves the venison burgers they have!!!
  3. You will get fed up every morning of making packed lunches
  • trust me so a day off a week is very welcome!!! Wink
