OK being more sensible, what about a big chilli with all the trimmings or a big rack of ribs and baked pots... or steak pie or corn beef hash ... these are my man's fave food as he hates poncy food (his words)

then a big lump of cheese and maybe a tiramisu?

cadbury · 02/09/2005 15:11

My dh loves Moroccan food - always thought of that as pretty manly. Or steak?

fairyfly · 02/09/2005 15:13

Chilli is a good idea, i will make it very hot so they can all compare manliness.

How do you make a pie, do you just buy pastry?

pie - very easy to make but always buy pastry as it is best and easiest way.... make steak and whatever stew and thicken up with cornflour - roll out puff pastry to make lid for pot and cover -- cover with egg wash and bake in hot oven for 30 mins...

fairyfly · 02/09/2005 15:16

i can put ale in it too or guiness, wont that make it even more manly

Ooh, definitely pie, with a lovely rich gravy. Then a nursery type pudding? Rhubarb crumble and custard?

frannyf · 02/09/2005 15:21

Snap ggg (although mine was the innocent version).

fairyfly · 02/09/2005 15:30

i wouldn't know how to make a spotted dick

but i have just laughed at Nursery type pudding, they are simple creatures are they not

Ha it just came to me, they would wet their pants at jelly and Icecream
