DH came home with tonnes of the bloody things. What can I do with them?! Neither myself or 2 DSs really like them!

These are nice. I leave out the salt and use dark choc. V. moreish.

I've had chocolate krispy cakes made with them in, quite nice...

But much better is banana bread made with them instead of raisins - I use the recipe from i can cook as its so easy.

I think the dried ones are lovely - For christmas last year I made a pile of cranberry and white chocolate cookies and gave them to teachers in lovely gift bags and they went down well. I shall look out the recipe...

Fab in a salad:

Use lamb's lettuce

  • pine nuts
  • dried cranberries (we call them "craisins" round this neck of the woods)
  • chopped up bits of soft cheese (try Boursin)
  • good homemade vinaigrette with red wine vinegar and wholegrain mustard

et voila

I want to trademark this salad as it is fab tasting and everyone who eats it raves about it.

So, I give you "Greythorne Salad".
