We're making little chocolate fondants and recipe says use mini pudding bowls that are metal. I don't have them, but I do have a selection of earthenware/china type large and medium pudding bowls.

I also have 500 ramekins in different shapes and sizes.

Which won't screw the recipe? And. who the fuck has metal pudding bowls in miniature?

yum.
I make the nigella ones in ramekins, but find they need a couple of minutes extra in the oven, probably because the heat isn't conducted as well.

I will admit that I was eyeing up the mini pudding moulds in tesco the other day, despite having 57million ramekins.

I have some

MIL gave them to me

We use them in the sandpit, they make great hobbit holes Grin

I have some. They're very good for panna cotta, actually. [I really should have been on the ramekin intervention thread...]

I have, however, used ramekins for choc fondants before - the shape isn't so good but they work fine.

I have changed to Nigella recipe and used glass ramekin instead, just to be on the safe side.

Ought I to go to cookshop tomorrow and better kit myself out do you think?
