I bought some Petit Filous tubie thingy fromage frais in France and froze them for the kids. But I'm not sure how long I can keep them like that or whether I should have used them up by "best before". All the writing is en Francais so can't read it!!! Can anyone help????

I freeze ours for packed lunches, and I've never had a problem with them after the use by date. I think the longest I've used them though was a month after the date (found them shoved behind something in the freezer!) and they tasted fine, and we had no ill effects. Most dairy things you buy frozen have quite long dates iirc. Unfortunately I haven't got any to check atm.

I freeze the peachy ones because I'm the only one who eats that flavour - and then only on a hot day, when desperate - and I have to admit to keeping them for months, probably 3 months, with no probs. I did notice recently that you're supposed to freeze on day of purchase though.

Suck it and see?

Thanks. I shall give them to the kids then!
