can you freeze courgettes?

We are loads of homegrown courgettes this year are they ok to be frozen? :)

They can be frozen but only if you chop them first, otherwise you end up with a squidgy mess.

I had masses this year and I boiled them down into stock which I have frozen for soup.

Also if you make your own burgers or meatballs, puree a courgette and use it as the binder rather than an egg. Good way of getting greens into children without them twigging

I grate them and put in ziplock bags, then use them in casseroles/quiche/soups etc.

thank you for your replies - this was the first year we have ever grown them and have been overwhelmed by courgettes! I shall probably chop some and grate some :)
