A neighbour has just given me a marrow the size of Lithuania. What on earth am I supposed to do with it? Please note - this has been posted in the food thread section. Sensible answers only.

Marrow jam - fabulous.

I hate marrows but love the jam.

Not sure what you mean, I can't think of anything impolite to do with a marrow .

Now, a courgette, however......

sorry Willow2 but how can you ask for sensible answers when you claim it's the size of Lithuania?

Assuming your oven is the size of eastern europe you could cut it in half, (the marrow, not your oven) scoop the seedy bit out, dribble it with olive oil then stuff with cooked rice, chopped peppers and mushrooms, some herbs, some nice soft cheese, more olive oil and roast for half an hour or so.
