Can I eat the chicken leftover from our roast on Friday night?

Was going to have a chicken sandwich but then thought maybe 4-5 days is a bit long? I usually sail a bit close to the wind where food safety is concerned (if it's me eating said food rather than the DCs) but don't want to be completely daft. It smells ok - would I know if it had gone off?

Cheers

I'd eat it no problem... And I'd boil up the carcas and make stock from that too...

Chicken smells rank if it's off. I'd eat it :)

assuming it's been in a fridge you can eat it.
If you've just left it out on the worktop I wouldn't Wink
