Recommend a carving knife & fork

I've never really cooked whole roasts except when I'm at my parents' place, but I'm going to start. Unfortunately, I don't know how to carve and don't have anything to do it with. Carving knives seem to be either really swanky and expensive (like Global) or a bit too cheap and therefore possibly not up to the job.

Help me choose a good knife!

Can't help sorry. I have - and love - the Global ones.

I would dearly love Global but can't justify the cost, especially as we may not ending up using them much, if DP returns to vegetarianism. Until he makes a decision I guess hacking off bits of meat off with a kitchen knife will continue.

Try TKMaxx they sometimes have swanky knives on sale. I got my sabatier carving knife from there reduced at least half usual price.
