Can I use beef stock instead of chicken for a leek&potato soup?

Thought I had some Knorr chicken cubes. I already poured water on the veg, so can't use the frozen stock I've got.

Beef cubes smell really strong. Hmm. What do you think?

I'm sure it's better than nothing but I wouldn't use as much as if you were using the chicken.

Ah, crap.
Already put 1 cube in and also threw in a glassfull of frozen chicken stock.

Smells fine- so far.

i'm not sure i would, won't they make the soup go a bit brown looking. have you got veg stock instead?

AnnoyingOrange · 30/08/2010 18:02

A little late now but I would have thought they would have been a little strong. Veg stock would be better

Well, I added just one cube for quite a lot of soup, so hopefully it'll be allright.

I think I added too much garlic, though. I like garlic, but now the DCs will have a good excuse to refuse to it it .
