Freezing things with cream in.

I want to make a savoury pie filling and freeze it. It has double cream in it and I'm not sure how it will freeze.

The carton says it is freezable if whipped ?

I have no idea whether you're supposed to or not, but I have done exactly this in the past and the pie turned out okay and we all survived the experience.

Thanks Squonk. TBH I hadn't thought about survival of the family, just thought it might separate.

Should be absolutely fine. You can freeze milk and cream as they are anyway, so no reason not to freeze one cooked.
