Pirate Party Food

We're having a pirate day tomorrow and I was trying to think of a few simple things to make for our Pirate Picnic.
So far my cold full head has only thought of orange jelly boats.

Has anyone got any good ideas of something I can do for tomorrow?

Am not doing a cake as I don't have time to make it and decorate (DH also decided to have a spring clean!!)

TIA

If you make sausage rolls, so when you cook them, they open up on one side (ie where the pastry isn't stuck down) - they look like treasure chests

As the christmas stuff is now coming in - chocolate money?

I like the ideas will def be doing some cooking in the morning. Like the idea of sausage roll treasure chests and the fish shaped s/w's.

might fo the round cheesy biscuits to as I can make it look like treasure for them. Thank you

I did the opposite to you. I made a fab themed cake but had ordinary food.

We often have pirate melon boats with cocktail stick and paper sails with skull and crossbones on.

Twiglets make good mutineer's bones

Choc coins a must - Sainsbo's sell them year round - we often do a treasure hunt with them if the sun's not too hot.....

Thank you.

We ended up with the following:

Breakfast - Parrots Eggs and rotten fingers ( boiled egg and toast)

Lunch - Octopus (hot dog sausages with half sliced before cooking to curl up)
Golden Nuggets and Blood (Mini chicken kiev and tomato ketchup)
boats - celery with cream cheese in
Sea Veg with grusome dips (carrot, cucumber etc and lots of different coloured dips)
Chips - Chips
and Jelly Boats.

Then Fish and sea veg for dinner.
