Just made a lovely batch of choc chip cookies. They look wonderful. They smell divine. They taste like fish. :( Anyone had this happen? What might I have done wrong.

had you cooked fish on the baking sheet?

Arcadie · 23/08/2010 22:41

Never cook fish. Loathesome stuff.

But thanks - it's a good idea. Does Stork Marg taste like fish when cooked? Should I have been a butter purest!?

were all the ingredients fresh? what sort of choc chips did you use?

does anything else taste of fish? can anyone else taste the fish?

Greensleeves · 24/08/2010 16:26

just pour a shitload of chocolate over them, it will be fine Grin

Arcadie · 24/08/2010 18:37

eggs maybe a teeny bit out of date but smelt fine. All others fresh. Cadbury's choc buttons. DH can taste the fish. I told him they were tuna and choc biscs.

Greensleeves Thank you! Kids liked them so they're almost gone!

taffetacatski · 24/08/2010 19:38

lol tuna and choc our cat would love them

ComeWhineWithMe · 24/08/2010 19:40

Eggs can taste fishy, I once read somewhere that some farmers give their chickens feed with some kind of fish product in and it can transfer to the egg .

IMoveTheStars · 24/08/2010 19:45

yep, it'll be omega 3 in something. nasty stuff
