freezing in polysterene?

I bought some chicken livers from the organic butchers and they were packed in polysterene tubs. I put them straight in the freezer without thinking. Is this ok/safe? I'm thawing them now in the same pot. Do polysterene tubs have nasty chemicals in them? Was going to cook them for 11 month old ds.

I think it's fine we buy most of our meet from a discount meat place and all their stuff is on polystyrene trays and has stickers on that say suitable for freezing so i guess you'll be ok
