Help! I've run out of formula? Is there anywhere open now?

I've run out of formula and i'ts Sunday night. I can still breastfeed but it means i'll be up all night - i've been giving formula at night for ages and i'm sure my supply isn't good. Anyone have any suggestions? as far as i know there's nothing open now?

If you find the on duty chemist, they might sell you some. NHS direct will tell you. What is your post code?

Petrol station?

RunningOutOfIdeas · 15/08/2010 23:32

Do you have any 24hr petrol stations near you? Especially ones with a good sized shop attached (eg. Tesco express, M&S). They usually have some kind of formula.

How old is your DC? Would s/he not be OK on BF and water unil morning?

ScMacBt · 15/08/2010 23:35

do you not have 24 hour tescos/asdas near where you live? that was my saviour at times like this

No 7JZ&s=Pharmacy&f=191&aw=1 pharmacies open I'm afraid

Do you have any neighbours with a baby who may have some formula you can borrow?

EightiesChick · 15/08/2010 23:37

Yes, I would try petrol stations as suggested above. Or, depending on the age of your DC, if you can't go that route, I would try some warmed cows' milk instead - if she's close to 1, or at least over 6 months - as a one off. Lack of all the vitamins over one night's feeding isn't going to hurt.
