I saw them at Euston station. They looked mining.

My hairdresser always raves about them. But they don't sell them around here. How many calories in each doughnut?

MonstersRock · 13/08/2010 20:48

200 cals in a plain glazed ring one and it goes up from there, I think. I agree - they are delicious!

They are lovely but I'm glad there isn't one too near to me. Everything in moderation as they say.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 13/08/2010 20:59

DH has to work down in London for 2/3 days a week, I insist he must bring back KK's for me. The nearest place to us that does them is BullRing in Brum. Im kinda glad there's nowhere nearer I'd be fucking huge because I have no self restraint!

Mmm could just eat a caramel filled one right now, no wait a chocolate filled one and then a caramel one! Grin

lurkingsnurker · 13/08/2010 21:01

They are truly YUM! They have drive-thrus in the US and do great coffee - that was a serious vice of mine when we lived there for a while!

MollysChambers · 13/08/2010 21:01

Not listening, la, la, la

smittenkitten · 13/08/2010 21:01

i'm not normally a fan of doughnuts, but my mother was raving about them and they are amazing. Just as well there isn't one nearby as I also have no self restraint. I love their chocolate sprinkles one, but have to hide them from my 4 year old who also loves the sprinkles! there is a video on their website of them being made and glazed - utter food porn.

OnEdge · 13/08/2010 21:02

They don't deliver to my area Sad

Its a sad sad situation.

Just can't have them........could pop to Bristol though Grin

At the one in the Bullring you get to watch them travel on the little conveyor belt being cooked and then glazed. Makes the queue worth it!

PandaEis · 13/08/2010 21:04

how heartwarmingly delicious

Wink

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 13/08/2010 22:02

I've tried them a couple of times, and wasn't at all impressed - I found them very claggy and solid.

Whereas the local independant baker near where I used to live, sold the most delicious doughnuts, with tiptree jam in them - they are almost worth travelling 400+ miles for!

PrettyFeckinVacant · 14/08/2010 00:22

Tried them in the states. I went out to visit one of the companies offices (when I was a serious working gal) and the Manager and I went out to get a snack for the office and she took me there and we bought a mahoosive box of doughnuts. I just couldn't get over how many doughnuts were in this box.

The ones that I tried were scrummy - glad I can't buy them in the back of beyond in Scotland Grin

DilysPrice · 14/08/2010 00:26

Step Away From The Doughnuts!

Put them down and back away slowly - keeping your hands where I can see them.

They are the work of Satan - there's something about them that leads you to eat them accidentally without noticing. Local Tesco stocks them, and work developed a tradition of bringing them in for everybody on your birthday, which is all very well when you're a small company, but gets a bit problematic once you reach 100+ people.

OnEdge · 14/08/2010 00:44

They just melt in your mouth

mmmm, now I want one :)

PinkyMe · 14/08/2010 10:00

On the last day of our honeymoon, my hubby and I queued for 2.5 hours to buy a box of assorted Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

We were in Japan and had watched hundreds of locals do the same thing everytime we left our hotel. The queue used to go right across a bridge over a 6 track railway line and some.

Having never had them before and with time to kill, we decided to see what all the fuss was about. It was worth it, although all the other tourists passing thought we were nuts.

One couple stopped to ask if there was some sort of promotion going on and couldn't believe it when we said no we didn't think so. Just wanted to buy some doughnuts.

AuntieMaggie · 14/08/2010 10:04

yep they are lush... used to get DP to buy m some every time he went to london on business and he used to come home with a dozen!

Now they've just opened one shop in bristol and are opening another soon - yipee....
