OK so I need to make it today (long story) but have run out of whipping cream - theres a small sainsburys down the road that may or may not have whipping cream - if I send dh and he finds some other sort can I doctor it to work?

double cream would have worked fine
how did you manage in the end?

I did a complicated measurement of double cream and milk proportional to the fat content and it seemed to work - ie for 250ml of Whipping cream you need 180 double cream and the rest whole milk.

Glad you asked now arent you Grin

The Chocolate mint icecream was ok anyhoo - blackberry tonight!
