Raspberries & blackberries with booze?

Am over run with both and thought it would be nice to make something drinky with some.

Just wondring what, in your experience is better; gin or vodka?

And could I make cordial with either of them, do you think?

We make a lot of sloe gin and in my experience it doesn't actually taste anything like gin, just a yummy really strong drink! Vodka is pretty much the same. We did do some blackcurrant brandy last year which was nice.

I made bramble gin last year by pouring myself a large gin then stuffing the bottle with berries and adding a few spoons of suger - kind of going off-piste tis v v nice but is not really ready yet, still quite harsh; ready by Xmas I feel. What a long time to wait !
