soft cheese for cheesecake

hiya, I'm making a whitechocolate cheesecake on friday, i need 450g of soft cheese I went to the supermarket to get the ingredients and they only had one 250g tub of mascapone cheese left, i bought some phillidelphia (sp?) can i use this aswell to make up the amount or shoulld i go on the hunt for more mascapone?

You can use the Philly and it'll be fine, but it would be more yummy if it was all mascarpone

My Mum uses philly for her cheesecakes and it's fine.

Puppy - if it's the recipe from BBC Good Food Magazine I did it recently and it was FABULOUS (maybe because I used Green and Blacks white chocolate ). I used Philly in it too.

i normally uise about 1/2 mascarpone 1/2 philedelphia

it always tastes very nice!

some time i do all philly, but i thinks its much nicer with both

Thanks for asking zippy, I will be making it this afternoon and will let you know what the dinner guest say tomorrow. I will be wanting to eat when i have made it straight away.
