lamb gravy substitution

am making roast lamb for dinner and normally make my gravy along similar lines to Delia's shrewsbury sauce (red wine, stock, mustard powder, meat juices, redcurrant jelly) but i don't have redcurrant jelly, do you think i could use plum jam instead or do you think i am best leaving it out and doing just basic gravy?

I'd just do a basic gravy. NOt sure plum would work.

I'd try it, but perhaps make a separate batch of gravy in case it's not good.
