I often used to take a cheese sandwich out with us for her to eat at lunch time but she is now refusing to eat this for some reason . I let her try some tuna this morning which she didn't like. Have also tried a ham sandwich but she didn't really take to this either.

Anybody have suggestions as to what I can make to take out with us when we are out and about? I let her have a very small taste of a pasta pot I bought from Marks before and she loved this but its full of salt so obviously don't want to get her this type of thing. I'd like to try making my own and take this with us but not sure of any good recipes that would be nice eaten cold?

She is great with snacky things like grapes, banana, melon, its just the 'main' part of the lunch that Im struggling with.

TIA

Cooked pasta is great: you can mix it with pesto, or a mayo-type dressing, or tomatoey sauce, and any kind of veg or strips of chicken etc.

Savoury flapjack? My DS loved them at that age - there's a recipe on the BLW forum somewhere.

Pizza wheels: make some pizza dough, spread with tomato sauce and cover with cheese or whatever toppings you usually like, then roll up and cut into slices before baking till they're done.

Potato salad?

A few things my DD likes:

Bagels with cream cheese, cut into quarters

Frittata cut into little triangles

Houmous and breadsticks or crackers

Smooth peanut butter finger sadnwiches

Cold pizza slices
