Inspiration needed for camping food ....

...... off on a camping trip this coming weekend and planning to only take a couple of disposal BBQs. What can I cook on these other than the usual sausages/burgers type of stuff. Will it last long enough for baked potatoes. Would much appreciate any suggestions.

You want to do an Australian damper-bread cooked in the embers. Not a yeasty bread,it has bicarb of soda I think. Did it all the times as kids-fab with butter and honey.
How about American s'mores? Marshmallows toasted on sticks,dipped in chocolate and sandwiched between graham crackers(for us,read digestives.)
Corn on the cob?
Kebabs? Marinate the meat at home and bring it along in a bowl and get everyone to thread their own,like all the Turks and Russians do!

You can buy barbeque chocolate cookies (they come in a tray that you stick on the bbq) in M&S.

Loads of lovely veg like green/red peppers, large mushrooms etc. I stuck some potato cakes on last time we went camping and they were lovely.

why not take a little camping gas stove? i have a tiny one taht folds up and you only need a little tiny thing of gas... makes it easier for doing beans and noodles and stuff

Oh if you do just have a disposable don't forget to take a kettle and it will boil for you nicely after you have done your bbq.

Foil wraped bananas do very well at the end!
