Can I do a ham and a chicken in my slow cooker?

I want to do a piece of ham and a whole chicken ready for the week, so I can use the meat for sarnies, wraps, pasta etc.

Can I stick them both in the slow cooker (it's big enough) and leave? I know the chicken will be ok but what about the ham? will it fall apart?

The ham should be okay if it's stringed/netted. I once tried to do a gammon without the string and it fell to bits so I wouldn't recommend!

But I don't think I'd do them together....
