My chocolate brownie mix has gone grainy/ split!! What do I do? The chocolate was smooth when melted but I added the sugar and it went grainy, now I've added the eggs and it looks awful!

Sift some flour into the mixture a little at a time and stir until it goes back together again.

Thanks Chil - I just got out my trusty hand held blender and blitzed it. Cooling now so I'll let you know!

Brownies are probably best if they're a bit lumpy and bumpy anyway...

They are really good! Now I just want to know how you are supposed to get the middle cooked enough without ruining the edges...

Slightly lower oven temp or a lower shelf and slightly longer cooking time... The middle is meant to be 'squidgy' but if your temp is too high the outside edges crisp up too fast.

Thanks, will try adjusting it next time.
