rice pudding with basmati rice?

i have some cooked basmati rice left over from tea last night, just wondering if i can make rice pudding with it & how!

You could give it a go.

I would grease a shallow dish with butter, put the rice in the dish (dish big enough to cover the bottom with about 4cm rice) and then add enough whole milk(with a splash of cream) to go to top of rice. Add a sprinkle of sugar and a grating of nutmeg, a handful of raisins if your DC's like them and stick in a low oven for about 40 mins....

I've made it with really cheap long grain rice before and it was fine - I think basmati would be lovely

If the rice is already cooked then I wouldn't cook it again for 40 mins. Perhaps 15 mins to reheat???

Basmati would work - possibly best rice found is Risotto rice - much plumper and rounder than ordinary pudding rice.

it waas very yummy! just made it with whole milk & sugar as i didn't have anything else.was wondering what it would have been like if i added coco powder?!
