Hi Lucky, not sure if this is what you mean but here's a link
www.cakejournal.com/archives/how-to-make-marshmallow-fondant

ooh would love that. hmmm... surely I can justify a couple of grand on a flight over just for a cupcake class??

found the fondant icing recipe here:
www.cakejournal.com/archives/how-to-make-marshmallow-fondant

some notes from my initial botched attempt:

I think they say to put the colouring in after you melt the marshmallows and before you add the icing sugar. DON'T.

just make the icing first and then knead in the food colouring bit by bit at the end. Messy, but better.

They also say to let the icing rest overnight. DON'T.
Just make it when you're ready to use it. It dries out too much in the fridge.

Ooh and I used lard instead of Chrisco (that's a US thing)

Hiya,
Hate to say it but thats buttercream!
there is fondant or sugarpaste which is a firm paste that gets rolled out but thats defo buttercream piped on.
just google but its generally 50/50 butter and icing sugar.
HTH!

That pic is definitely buttercream. I use cream cheese in mine to get it creamy and smooth but otherwise just use a bit more icing sugar than butter, you need quite a lot for the swirly look.

Great thanks. Buttercream sounds the easier and quicker option!!
