Crema de Limonchello-in Italy this is chilled then used as a topping for ice cream. I wouldn't want to drink it by the glass...it's a bit like having gin without the tonic!

Well strangely, I was inspired to buy it after reading a post from another MNetter who sadi she made Bailey's milkshake just blending it with ice cream. Saw the limoncello in Lidl and thought might try it with that instead.

But no way Jose. It's not good.

I'm a great fan of Lidl, but I don't think their spirits are up to much, tbh. Maybe it's just a quality thing?

Bailey's milkshake sounds fabby, though. Mmmmm...considering sending DH out to all-night-supermarket to buy some Baileys, and some ice cream...

Frangelico is lovely. I used to work in bars in Australia where they all stock it as standard.

Limoncello is delish served straight from the freezer after dinner, but agree with amistillsexy about Lidl booze.

do people drink frangelico neat then or as part of a cocktail?

Usually as part of a shooter (mixed shot), but sometimes with coke.

Try lemoncello with tonic and ice. Way better.
