Batch cooking and freezing

How do I go about freezing useable meals?

Let's say I've made spag bol. How might I freeze that as a ready meal so that I could get it out of the freezer and microwave it, ready-meal style. Can I do that, with the pasta cooked etc? Do I need to add extra water or anything?

This is probably very obvious, but thus far all I've done is freeze a huge batch of sauce, which isn't terribly helpful as a quick meal.

I've been wonering about this...I thought that ready meals have the spaghetti in there, so thought I'd try with pasta on al dente side so it hopefully won't turn to mush on reheating!

if i freeze spag bol i defrost it then reheat it in a pan
i tend to mix the sauce into the pasta before freezing
see how it looks and add a touch more water if necessary
otherwise heat up covered in the oven on a moderate heat
imho i think microwaving home made ready meals just ruins them

Really? I was hoping could take some to work. Are they just better in a pan, or is microwaving a total no-no.

imho i think that microwaves dry out the pasta
